Apache Junction is holding a grand opening celebration this weekend for Painted Sky Park, the largest recreational project in the East Valley city’s history. It was the first of three public parks to open within the Blossom Rock at Superstition Vistas master-planned community in southern Apache Junction.
The 16-acre recreation venue features a dog park, an adventure playground and a 1.5-acre catch-and-release fishing lake. Other amenities include walking paths, ramadas, open lawn space and game courts for bocce, cornhole, outdoor chess and ping pong.
